Loong Nam & Co. started in Penang Island in 1928 and was incorporated in Malaysia under the Companies Act 1965 on the 1st of Aug 1965 as a partnership company. The humble beginning of this company can be traced to the initial operation of a bakery shop. This company located at Penang Road which it still stands today shows the long reputable establishment which started as a family business with only two employees. |

The company further expanded to a biscuit manufacturing concerned where we became popular for our Roti Jari, Kapai, Sesame Biscuits and Sugee Biscuits under the "Thumb up logo". Our reputation for making the best Roti Jari was not built in one day. Over the years, we have been very cautious in expanding and had kept strictly to selling at our own premises. The company used to be run on a customer to shop basis, in which the customer be it local or tourist used to patronised the shop directly. In recent years we have increased our distributions network to minimarkets and tourist destinations. Therefore with this increase in distributions, its gives an easier accessibilities to our customer near and far. |

As we moved into the new millennium, it
is necessary for us to expand to serve our customer better and to begin
diversification into other areas like more workforce and going into distributions
to other areas to give our customer the convenient and accessibility to
our products. We have identified potential sales in other parts of Malaysia
and even Singapore. We are looking
forward to expand into these places soon.
Armed with our expertise and teamwork, we are looking forward and will continue to strive towards our goal, based upon our Mission and Values, just as we have faced the challenges of the past 74 years. |
